Chapter 104 - Arabella and Hunter

Arabella pulled the blanket up and she leaned into Hunter. Her cheeks were still flushed and she knew that her hair was a mess but she didn't really care. "What a fantastic day" She said softly and placed a kiss on his jaw. Part of her didn't want to get out of bed and was planning on rolling on top of Hunter again. The rest of her really wanted to go out for supper though. She put her forehead on his shoulder and yawned.

Hunter yawned a little too as he pulled her closer. "It's not even done, yet." He said with a chuckle before kissing her lightly on the forehead. He grazed his fingers on her shoulder and took a deep breath as he laced his fingers in hers. "Mmm...You're pretty." He said before kissing her hand. She looked up and Hunter smiled, leaning in for a kiss when he heard barking and howling from downstairs. "Oh, what time is it?" He asked, rolling to see the clock. It was about 5:00. "You still want to do dinner?" He asked with a small yawn.

"Mmhmm...I want to get all dressed up" Arabella said with a giggle and she kissed Hunter's cheek. She yawned and stretched out her legs for a moment then relaxed with a soft groan. She listened to the barking and the howling and she turned to Hunter. "Jolie seems to really like Ajax. You should have seen her before you came home. She actually picked that collar out herself and made me brush her fur"

"Did she, now?" Hunter asked as  he swung his legs off the side of the bed. He sat for a second before laughing. "Ajax is completely oblivious." He said with a chuckle. Ajax seemed very hesitant of everyone. "That's adorable, kind of. Jolie has a crush on him." He laughed again as he stood up, adjusting his boxers. "So should one of us shower or is it too risky? We might never leave the house again at this rate." Hunter said as he grabbed an undershirt out of his dresser.

"I need a shower. It might be risky, but I can't go out like this" Arabella said with a giggle and she rolled out of the bed. and tugged on the hem of her shirt. "I won't be too long" She said and walked over to Hunter, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him tightly. With a little wink, she pulled away from him and walked to the bathroom. Once she was there, Arabella pulled off her shirt and turned on the shower, stepping into it.

Hunter stood there for a moment and stared at the door to the bathroom. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes before popping his neck and going back to getting dressed. He pulled on a white dress shirt and a pair of slacks. He heard the barking again and sighed. "I guess they need dinner too." He said with a chuckle as he walked toward the door, lingering near the bathroom door a moment. He walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where he searched for the dog food. He finally found it and put it in the two bowls before opening their cages. He grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge and watched them eat. Ajax calmly ate, looking up every once in a while. Jolie ran out of the cage and walked over to Ajax's bowl where she started to eat too. Hunter laughed and picked her up, placing her at her bowl. She barked for a moment before nosing some of her food toward Ajax, Ajax finished eating and walked over to Hunter. He howled a little and Hunter smiled down at him. "Here. You can finish my water." He said as he poured the rest of the water slowly onto Ajax's waiting mouth. He poured the rest into his water bowl and pet his dog's head. Ajax licked his hand and barked once before walking into the living room and curling up on the couch.

Arabella stepped out of the shower and she dried herself off quickly. In all honesty, she was looking forward to going out for supper. It would be nice to actually go out on a date with Hunter. Arabella walked into her closet with the towel wrapped around her and found everything she needed. With a smile, Arabella pulled on her clothes. She was wearing a red bandage dress that had a low back on it and she pulled out the black high heels that matched her dress. As quickly as she could, Arabella finished doing her hair and she pulled out her make up bag like she always did. With a small sigh, she paused, wondering if she should put it on. Hunter was always telling her that she didn't need it. She shrugged to herseld and put on her makeup and she walked downstairs. Jolie came running towards her and bounced up and down for a second. Holding her shoes in her hands, Arabella followed Jolie as she took off for the living room. Jolie started to bounce up and down, putting her front paws on the couch. She was letting out a little whine and looking up at Arabella with big eyes. Arabella laughed a little bit and she picked up Jolie, placing her on the couch, away from Ajax. Without missing a beat, Jolie ran over to Ajax's side and laid down next to him, curling up to his side and falling asleep.

Hunter saw that Arabella was standing by the couch. She looked absolutely stunning. "You look amazing." He said as he stood behind her and wrapped her hands around her waist. She was smiling down on the couch and Hunter raised an eyebrow and followed her eyes. "Oh my gosh..." He said quietly as he saw Jolie sleeping next to Ajax. It was possibly the most adorable thing ever. He finally looked back at Arabella and smiled. "So, miele grappolo, are you ready?" He asked, kissing her cheek and letting her go. "Do I look okay?" He asked, doing a slight pose and rotating.

Arabella smiled at him and she took his hands, leaning in to give him a kiss. "You look amazing. Total babe" She said with a smirk and she pulled away so that she could pull on her shoes. Arabella fixed her dress and stood up straight, looked back at Hunter again. "There are going to be so many girls hitting on you tonight, it's crazy" She teased and gave him a wink.

"Hitting on me? You're never leaving my arm, do you understand?" He said, kissing her forehead. It was interesting that this was Hunter's first actual date. They were this far in their relationship and this was their first date. He ran upstairs, pulled on his shoes, and grabbed his suit jacket before coming back down. "I'm driving. You're navigating. I'm buying. You're ordering." He said with a raised eyebrow and a sly glance before opening the door for her. She smiled and walked out and toward the car. He ran ahead and opened her door for her. He had a feeling this was going to be a good date.

Arabella smiled up at him and she kissed his cheek before sliding into the car and tugging on her dress. As soon as Hunter had gotten in, started the car and pulled out of the driveway, Arabella turned on the radio. "So, I was thinking that we should go to Butter but if we go there then I am going to pester you to let me pay for some of the food because it's really expensive" She explained then looked over at him with a delicate eyebrow raised.

"It is all on me." He said with a smile. "Just point the way." He said with a nod. She gave him a look. "I'm paying. If you don't let me pay I will become very upset. I will take off my shirt and go for runs, but not let you do anything." He said with a chuckle, giving her a small wink. "Tonight is all about us. Tonight is on me." He said with a grin.

"I will still protest" Arabella muttered and she looked around. "Oh, go left here, onto Lafayette Street then straight down about two blocks." She told him with a nod and she took out a small mirror from her purse to check her eyeliner. "Here!" Arabella said excitedly and once Hunter found a parking spot, she nearly threw herself out of the car. She smiled softly and her face lit up when Hunter took her hand and together they walked into the restaurant. It was packed. Arabella sighed and looked up at Hunter. She leaned in so that she could speak to him. "Let's just go to the bar to wait. It'll probably be a little while" Arabella said with a nod.

Hunter left their name with the hostess and then followed her to the bar. They sat down and Hunter ordered a water. "They'll call us at the bar when our table's ready." He said with a smile. The restaurant was beautiful. The smell of food wafted throughout the entire restaurant, but it didn't overpower anything. He looked over at Arabella. He was happy enough to just be with her. He would have been just as happy going to a Wendy's. "I'm really glad we came tonight." He said with a smile as he ran his fingers along the back of her fingers.

Arabella looked up at him with big, happy eyes and she nodded. "Yeah, me too" She said softly and she leaned up to kiss his cheek then she turned to the bartender. "I'll have a-" She started to say but was cut off.

"She'll have a Sex on the Beach. I'll have a Manhattan" A man's voice said on the other side of Arabella. She turned away from Hunter and looked at him, catching her breath.

"Hello, Ian" Arabella said in a slightly nervous voice. The man, Ian, turned to look at her with a smirk on his handsome face. He looked like a movie star.

"Good to see you Arabella, how long has it been?" Ian asked, taking a sip of his drink when it came. Arabella looked down at her drink then looked back at Hunter. Why did this have to happen now?

"Getting close to a year" Arabella said to him and turned away, taking a sip of her drink. It was perfect and it was her favorite drink.

Hunter took a sip of his water and looked over at the newcomer. "Hey, Ellie. Who's this?" Hunter asked, leaning toward her and extending his hand. "I'm Hunter." He said before walking around to the other side of Arabella. Ian raised an eyebrow at Arabella and shook Hunter's hand with both hands.

"Hi, Hunter. I'm Ian." He said, breaking the handshake. Hunter looked at him a moment and put a hand on the small of Arabella's back.

"Why did he know your favorite drink?" Hunter whispered subtly into her ear when Ian turned back to his Manhattan. Hunter didn't like him. Maybe it was the fact that he was talking to Arabella and he was a guy or maybe it was the fact that Ian made it clear that he had money. Hunter had money. Ian had money. "So, how do you know Arabella?" Hunter asked, worried about the answer.

"We have...history" Ian said in a smooth voice, his eyes on Arabella. She looked at him for a second then looked down at her drink, taking a much bigger sip than before. She didn't want to see Ian. She was with Hunter and they were on a date. They didn't need to be bothered by Ian. Arabella started looking around, like she was trying to find somewhere else for them to go.

"Where's your date, Ian. You always manage to find a date" Arabella said, trying to sound distant and like she didn't care about him at all.

"I'm here by myself, Arabella" Ian said, looking over at her and giving her a smirk. He then turned to Hunter and cleared his throat. "Are you from the city, Hunter?" He asked him, taking a drink from his Manhattan.

"Uh...Yeah. Mostly." Hunter said, leaning his head side to side, trying to debate what his answer was. "I was born in Connecticut, but I grew up around here." He said with a nod. Hunter looked over at Arabella who was already ordering another drink. "Ellie, we haven't even gotten our table, yet." He said under his breath. Why was she drinking so much? Was it Ian? Hunter sighed quietly and ran his hand from her back to around her waist.

Arabella looked over at Hunter with big eyes. She hoped that he would be able to see that she was anxious and feeling a little guilty about seeing Ian here. She had a past with him and it wasn't something that she was going to forget anytime soon. With a sigh, Arabella took a sip of her new drink.

"It's a wonderful city" Ian said with a nod then finished off his Manhattan. He looked over at Hunter and Arabella and his eyes lingered on his hand on her waist. "How long have you known each other?" He asked in a voice that showed that he was looking for a different answer. He wanted to know if Arabella knew Hunter when she was with Ian.

Hunter tilted his head a little and looked at Arabella. "It's been...What? 10 years? 11 years?" He said, thinking for a second. "11 years. We've only been together for a few months, though." Hunter glanced at Arabella. She was nervous. He could tell. He cleared his throat. "Uhh...How...was it that you know Arabella?" He asked again, hoping for a more clear answer.

Ian raised an eyebrow at Hunter then looked at Arabella with a smirk on his face. He was loving this. "Arabella and I were...together for a little while about a year ago" Ian told Hunter with a nod. "We didn't go out much though seeing as we spend most of our time in her apartment" He said with a chuckle and he winked at Arabella.

"Oh dear God" Arabella muttered under her breath and she took a long sip from her drink, wanting nothing more than to hide. Her and Ian never had anything special, really. However, they did have a history and when they were together they had undeniable chemistry.

Another one of Arabella's exes. "Oh...uhh..." Hunter's heart clenched. Chad, he dealt with. Brian wasn't a concern. Ian...was an unknown entity. Hunter cleared his throat and glanced down at Arabella. "That kind of history." He said as he took a sip of his water. He glanced at the bartender, contemplating ordering something alcoholic. "So what do you do, Ian?" Hunter asked, trying desperately to get the idea that they were together out of his head.

"I'm a CEO for a rather large company here in Manhattan" Ian told Hunter with a nod and he looked back at Arabella. He was getting tired of talking to Hunter. He had walked over to talk to Arabella. Ian didn't really care that she was with him. From what he knew of her, she didn't fall in love. She was just looking for a hook up. "You look as wonderful as ever, Arabella" He said, placing his hand on her leg.

"That's sweet. Thanks" Arabella said and she nudged his hand away. Her hands were shaking slightly from nerves and she resisted the urge to order a shot of Tequila.

"I must say, I missed having you around. I don't know about you but I certainly haven't forgotten the night we spent 5 hours in the jacuzzi" Ian said, leaning towards her. He spoke in a low voice, like he only wanted Arabella to hear. However, he made sure that his voice carried so that Hunter could hear it. Ian reached up, brushing a stay hair out of her face and causing Arabella to shiver.

Hunter's fist clenched. He knew exactly what Ian was doing, but hitting him would more than likely get them tossed out of the  restaurant. This was their date. This had to be a good night. "It was nice talking to you, Ian." Hunter said, taking small step forward. "I think it's time for you to find someone else to feel up, do you understand?" Hunter looked him in the eye. He made his gaze firm, but not angry. He didn't want to hit him, but he wasn't afraid to either.

Arabella looked at Hunter then sighed and ordered that shot of tequila, drinking it quickly.

Ian looked over at Hunter and he raised an eyebrow. He chuckled. "Calm down, man. She doesn't need you to fight her battles for her. Besides, she hasn't told me to stop" Ian said and he turned back to Arabella with a smirk on his face. He nudged Hunter away from Arabella and he placed his hand on the small of her back, leaning into her. "I don't know why you put up with him. He's clearly a loaded gun"

Hunter blinked. Did he just do that? "I'm a loaded gun?" He said with a raised eyebrow. He took a deep breath and tried to calm down. "At least I'm not a gigantic douchebag." He said under his breath before sighing. He took another deep breath. Hunter looked at them and a wave of anger swept over him. He grabbed Ian by the shoulder and raised his fist.

Arabella looked at Hunter and her stomach clenched up. she didn't want Hunter to get into anymore trouble because he hit someone. Arabella picked up the rest of her Sex on the Beach and she slid inbetween Hunter and Ian, looking up at Ian through her eyelashes. "Ian...I was thinking that maybe we could..." She said in a low voice. Ian smirked at her and he leaned towards her. Arabella returned the smirk but she then tossed her drink at his face, leaving him sputtering. She stepped on his foot then pulled away from him, grabbing Hunter's hand and storming out of the restaurant.

Hunter's jaw dropped and his eyes widened as Ian was left dripping wet. "You just...I was..." He started, but couldn't find the words. He was left a little speechless. He let go of Arabella's hand and wrapped his arm around her waist. "He was right." Hunter said with a nod. She looked up at him and raised an eyebrow. "You don't need me fighting your battles. Very well done." He said, kissing her temple.

Arabella folded her arms tightly across her chest and she was still pretty annoyed at Ian. Not only that, but she was embarrassed. Her and Ian had an extremley casual relationship. It was only about sex. At the time, that was all that she wanted because she was so lonely. Now, however, she was a little bit embarrassed about it. Arabella didn't like that Hunter knew that she had been in a relationship like that. She leaned into him slightly and a small smile spread across her lips. "Thanks..." She said softly. "I'm sorry about him, Hunter"

Hunter slipped off his jacket and placed it around her shoulders. "Don't be." He said quietly. "It's in the past. Don't worry about it." He said, kissing her cheek. He took her hand and they walked in relative silence. "I'm sorry that we to leave." He said with a sigh. "I could tell how much you wanted to eat there. We'll have to go back some time." He nodded and put his arm around her waist again. "So, what can I do to salvage this date? Where shall we go to eat?" He asked with a smile.

Arabella held the coat around her and she smiled up at Hunter, her heart melting like butter on hot toast. She looked around the street at his question then pointed at the place across the street. "Let's go to Wendy's" Arabella suggested and looked up at him with a smile. She was excited to eat at Butter but she would be happy to eat anywhere, really. As long as she was wth Hunter and none of her exes were hitting on her.

Hunter laughed and looked both ways before walking across, her hand in his. "As long as you let me pay. I know this place is pricey, but..." He teased and opened the door for her. She kissed his cheek and walked into the brightly lit fast food restaurant. "What would you like? Order anything." He said, wrapping his arms around her waist and burying his face in her hair a moment before looking up at the menu. "What say we splurge and get some frosties? How's that sound?"

"Oh gods, I want a frosty so bad" Arabella groaned and they moved towards the till. "Hi! I'm going to have the Bacon Deluxe Cheeseburger with french fries and a large frosty" She ordered. Arabella kissed Hunter's cheek then walked away towards a booth by the window. A few people sitting down gave her weird looks and she didn't blame them. She was wearing a designer dress, designer high heels and was looking very fancy. But Arabella didn't care. She lowered herself into the booth and leaned back in her seat, waiting for Hunter.

"I'll have the same." Hunter said as he pulled out his wallet. He paid and in a few moments the food came out. He grabbed the tray and walked over to Arabella, setting the food on the table. He sat down across from her and divvied up the food with a smile on his face. "Did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight? Or every night, for that matter?" He grabbed a couple of fries and dipped them into his frosty before eating them. "Actually, just all the time. You're just kind of perpetually the most gorgeous being on the planet." He said as he swallowed the fries.

Arabella took a couple fries and did the same thing, dipping them into her frosty. There was a smile on her face that felt impossible to get rid of. Arabella looked up at him and let out a content sigh. "You have no idea how great it feels to hear you say stuff like that." She said and reached across the table to touch his cheek. "I love you so much, you smart, strong, sexy, wonderful man"

Hunter leaned across the table and kissed her lightly. "I love you too." He said with a smile as he ate more fries. "I was thinking that Tyler and I will fix up his car tomorrow." He said with a nod. "Then we should start packing for our trip." A small smile spread across his face. "After my run of course. Then we can go clothes shopping for the wedding." He said with a wink.

Arabella giggled a little bit and she nodded. "While you two fix up the car, I'll go shopping. Get some things that we're going to need on a trip like this" She said and  took a bite of her burger. "I'm so excited for this trip and for the wedding." She said excitedly and ate some fries. "I hope that we get to see some people from camp that we knew. I haven't seen anyone since I've left." Arabella told him, a little frown appearing on her face.

"I've only seen the people you have." Hunter said with a shrug. Hunter  ate some more of his fries and picked up his burger. "I don't think I own a tux." He said, shaking his head a little. "And I still haven't worked on my speech at all." He took a bite of his burger and looked down at the table. "Can you be assistant best man?" He said with a half smile. He was happy and honored to be Rory's best man, but he was a little worried that he was going to ruin things for them.

"I'll try my best" Arabella said with a nod and she leaned back in her seat, letting out a soft sigh. "I'm almost done with Vera's dress. I think she'll like it. I hope she likes it. I mean, it's her wedding dress and she trusted me with it but she hasn't even seen it yet. What if she hates it?" She said, looking over at Hunter and getting a slightly more and more frazled look with each word. Arabella ate a couple of french fries then looked out of the window. "Everything is going to be fine. You'll write a fantastic speech and Vera will love her dress" Arabella said, more to herself than anything.

"Ellie, I've never seen you make something bad." Hunter said with a nod, taking another bite of burger. "Vera is going to love her dress. Besides, she's never been the girly-girl type. She'll be in the wedding more for the groom not for the dress." Hunter pushed the rest of his fries toward Arabella as he finished his burger and started on his frosty. "Have you thought about your wedding?" He asked, eating a spoonful of ice cream. "Our wedding?" He asked with a smile.

"What do you mean? Like..have I pictured what my perfect wedding would be?" Arabella said with a raise of her eyebrow. A slight dreamy look swept over her and she chewed on a couple of french fries. "Yeah, of course. I was always the girl that planned out my wedding and played it out with Barbie and Ken. People always expected me to have a big, glamorous wedding but I don't think that it's for me. I always wanted to get married on a beach. But not just on a beach. Out on a sand bar. My man would be waiting for me with just a handful of guests and I would run through the water to meet him..." She said, he voice trailing off in a dreamy sort of way.

Hunter nodded and picked at his frosty a little. He never even thought he'd have a wedding at all, let alone a wedding with someone like Arabella. He was a little hurt however that he wasn't included in her dream wedding. He knew that he hadn't proposed yet, but he was hoping that she knew he was going to. She did still want to marry him, right? "Sounds beautiful." He said quietly. "I wonder if there's one nearby that would work. A sandbar, I mean." He said with a sigh as he put his frosty down on the table and cleared his throat.

Arabella shrugged and finished off his french fries. She wiped her hands off on a napkin and looked out of the window for a second with slightly narrowed eyes as she thought. "I don't really know. But you know what...I've been starting to care less and less about what my wedding looks like or who is at it or what I'm wearing or how it all goes down" She told him and turned her eyes to look at him. "The only thing that matters is who is waiting at the end for me, right? And I hope that it's you"

Hunter smiled and took a deep breath. "Oh, I don't know. I guess maybe." He said in a teasing voice. "I'll have to think it over." He said as he finished his frosty. "Sure. Sounds great." He said with a chuckle. "Let me propose though, okay?" He said before leaning over the table and kissing her. "I've got it all planned out." He said with a nod.

"Of course you do" Arabella teased with a slight eyeroll. She smiled and put her hand on his neck, kissing him tighter. She was excited about their life together and their future. Arabella couldn't wait for it all to start. "Mmm...what do you say we get home. I'm sure that Jolie has probably terrified Ajax by now" Arabella giggled and she pulled away slightly. The fact that her dog had a crush on Hunter's dog was just too funny and Arabella adored it.

Hunter laughed and stood up from the table. He grabbed their trash and threw it away before taking her hand and walking out with her. "What are we going to do with the puppies while we're gone?" He asked as they walked back to the car. It was a cold night, but the sky was clear and the moon was shining down on them. Hunter chuckled at the irony. "We could leave them with your dad or maybe Daniel. I'm sure he loves puppies." Hunter asked with a chuckle.

"Daniel would probably be best. Those dogs are going to be so spoiler by him, though" Arabella giggled and she looked up at the moon. It was a beautiful night, even if it was cold. Arabella shivered and she held Hunter's coat tighter around her. "Thanks for supper tonight, Hunter. It was so glamorous" She giggled and kissed him before sliding into the passenger side seat.

Hunter started the car and started the drive back home. He looked over at Arabella and smiled before patting the seat next to him, prompting her to slide over. She complied with a giggle and Hunter put his arm around her, pulling her close. He kissed her head gently. "Only the best for my lady." He said with a chuckle as he lightly rubbed her arm.

Arabella rested on him, closing her eyes. "I really like these bench seats" She said softly, snuggling into his side and yawning. After seeing Ian, she was looking forward to getting home and putting on an old pair of shorts, her camp shirt and curling up with Hunter. They didn't need glitz and they didn't need glamour. She was happy, blissful even to just curl up on the couch with him, counting his scars and getting stories for each one. Or having him rub his arm like he was doing while she talked to him about whatever was on her mind. It was perfect and wonderful.

Hunter parked in the driveway and shut off the car. "Mmm...Me too." He said, kissing her head again. He smiled and sighed. They sat in comfortable silence for a few moments. "Shall we go in and deal with our hairy canine children?" He asked quietly as he brushed some hair out of her face. "We should probably save Ajax from his number one fan, no?"

"Yeah, it must be difficult to have to deal with a beautiful girl who has a crush on you" Arabella teased in a quiet voice and she tugged on the end of her dress. She wanted to stay in that car because it was warm but she knew that it was probably going to get cold soon. With a small shiver, she snuggled into Hunter's side a bit more. "We really should go inside" She said softly after a few moments of silence.

Hunter smiled and laughed a little. "I know I have troubles." He said with a chuckle before kissing her lightly on the temple. "Let's go." He opened his door and pulled her toward the driver's side where he picked her up out of the car. She put her arms around his neck and nuzzled into his shoulder. With a smile on his face, Hunter closed the door with his foot and walked into the house, only to be met by a fury of barking and howling. Hunter set her down on the couch and walked over to the cages, opening them and letting the dogs out. Ajax trotted over to the couch and hopped up, taking a spot next to Arabella. Jolie put her paws up on Hunter's leg and barked. "Alright. Come here." He said with a chuckle as he picked up the dog. He walked over to the couch and sat down next to Arabella, putting her arm around her and setting Jolie next to him.

Arabella giggled and she scratched Ajax lightly and she leaned against Hunter slightly. It was so easy to be sitting with him like that with the dogs. Arabella smiled down at Ajax, who had his paws on her legs and she looked up at Hunter. Just then, Jolie scrambled over Hunter's legs so that she was on Arabella's lap and she was face to face with Ajax. Her tail was wagging about a million times a minute. Arabella laughed and she pushed herself to stand up, holding Jolie. She placed Jolie down on the couch where she had been sitting and looked at Hunter. "I'm going to go change into something a little less...tight" She told him with a laugh and she walked upstairs. Once she was in their bedroom, she peeled off her dress and started to look for some clothes to wear.

Hunter scratched Ajax's head and rubbed under his chin. Ajax licked his hand and Jolie bit his hand for blocking her view. She barked up at him and Hunter put his hands up in surrender. "Fine. Fine. I'll give you guys some privacy." Hunter said as he stood up. As he unbuttoned her shirt he climbed the stairs and walked into their bedroom. "It seems Ajax and Jolie want to be alone." He said as he threw his shirt on the bed and wrapped his arms around her, lightly grazing her soft skin. He kissed her neck and let go, turning around and walking to his dresser.

Arabella giggled and she looked over at him and bit her lip for a second, smiling. Eventually she looked away and grabbed a loose t-shirt that was so long on her, it was almost a dress and she pulled it on. She walked over to the bed and flopped down on the edge, looking up at him. "Jolie is going to give Ajax a heart attack one of these days if she keeps putting the moves on him like that" Arabella teased and laid back on the bed.

Hunter chuckled and quickly changed into a pair of athletic shorts. "Ajax is 7 weeks old and he's already breaking hearts." He said as he laid down on the bed next to her. "Like owner like dog, I suppose." He said with a chuckle as he turned his head to look at her. He reached over and brushed hair out of her face, turning her head. "I'm really glad that you'll be the first face I'll see every morning for the rest of my life." He said with a smile as he gently grazed her cheek with his fingers.

"I wouldn't have it any other way" Arabella breathed, looking up into his eyes. Her heart started racing and her cheeks turned a soft pink. He gave her goosebumps and butterflies just by looking at her. Arabella pulled herself closer to him and she pressed her lips against his cheek. "For a while there, I never expected to be the one who would settle down and plan a life and a future that didn't revolve around my company. But then you came into the picture and everything changed" She said softly and smiled up at him.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to change everything." Hunter said, putting his forehead against hers. "When I killed that giant...." He kissed her forehead. "I never intended to turn your life upside down." He sighed. "I never intended to fall in love with you." He smiled and closed his eyes. He had never felt so strongly about anything in his entire life. He was completely in love with her. He didn't want to do anything without her. "I'm really glad I did though."

"When you killed that giant...my life got a million times better. I thought that I was going to be alone for the rest of my life" Arabella said and she kissed him lightly. Arabella was crazy about him. She loved him with every single fiber of her being and she wasn't about to let it go easily. "I'm really glad you killed that giant too. I would have been flat as a pancake" She teased with a giggle.

Hunter sighed and grinned. "Why are you so amazing?" He asked before kissing her nose. "I love you." He said quietly as he looked up at the ceiling again. He pulled her in close and put his arm around her. "I love you so much." He said as he closed his eyes, feeling blissfully happy.

Arabella rested on him, letting her eyes close. She knew that their life was going to have set backs and they weren't always going to have good day but she also knew that as long as Hunter was by her side, Arabella was going to ba happy. That was all that she could ask for. She snuggled into him and yawned. "I love you.." She said in a tired voice that trailed off as she fell into a happy sleep.
