Chapter 138 - Arabella and Hunter

Arabella had woken up with a smile. She was curled up on the couch with Hunter laying behind her. After he had fallen asleep, she stayed in his arms. It was too warm and too comfortable for her to actually want to be somewhere else. So she stayed with him and she watched a bit of TV before she finally fell asleep too. When she woke up, she yawned and stretched out her arms and legs a little bit. Hunter was still sleeping, so she slowly slid out of the couch and looked out the window. It was a sunny day and it felt like it was going to be warmer than it had been. With a small smirk to herself, Arabella walked into the kitchen and she quietly poured food into all of the animal's bowls. She turned on the coffee maker and while she waited for it to finish, she pulled her hair into a messy bun. Humming to herself, she poured the finished coffee into two mugs and she stated adding the milk and sugar.

Hunter was back in DOA Recording Studios. He was sitting and waiting again. Waiting for years and years until he was finally freed and allowed into the Underworld. People go through their day and long for time to just sit and relax, but knowing what Hunter knew, waiting was his biggest fear. Having nothing to do, but sit and wait and think about all the crap you've done in life. And now that he had a glimpse at the perfect life that he had with Arabella, he felt even worse. He concentrated and came out of the dream, his eyes blinking open slightly and being met with the TV and an empty living room. Hunter rubbed his face and rolled over, burying his face in the corner of the couch, hoping that he could avoid the sense of loneliness that he felt in that moment.

Arabella put the cups of coffee on the tray and she popped a couple frozen waffles in the toaster. While they cooked, she dug around in the fridge for the whipped cream and stawberries. When the toaster popped, Arabella jumped a little out of shock then quickly grabbed them and put them on two heart shaped plates that she had bought and kept hidden from Hunter. Arabella gingerly put a bit of whipped cream on each waffle and a handful of strawberries. After that, she took out the pink and red sprinkles and shook them over the cream. With a small smile to herself, she put all of that on the tray with an envelope and she gingerly picked it up, walking into the living room, wondering if Hunter was awake. Arabella slowly put the tray down on the coffee table and gingerly sat down on the couch. Hunter looked like he was alseep so she assumed that he was and she lightly put her hand on his back, trying to find his heart beat.

Hunter tensed a little and turned around. "Good morning." He said in a morning voice, raspy from not using it. He swallowed and smiled a little before grabbing her wrist and pulling her down on top of him, wrapping his arms around her. "Happy Valentine's Day." Hunter whispered, burying his face in her hair and feeling so happy that he wasn't alone.

"Happy Valentine's Day" Arabella whispered with a smile and she cuddled into him, letting herself melt into his arms completely. "Did you sleep well?" She asked him gently and turned her eyes to look up at him. Arabella really wanted everything to go well that day and she didn't want to think about all of the drama of the day before.
Hunter took a deep breath and nodded softly, placing a kiss on her forehead. "Yeah. I slept great." Hunter said quietly, letting out a small sigh. He closed his eyes and tried to focus on the now and forget about his dream. He smelled something and looked over to see the meal that Arabella had prepared. "What's this?" Hunter said, sitting up with her on his lap. "What have you planned for the day, my love?" He said, raising an eyebrow and looking into the blue eyes of his fiance.

"It's a surprise. You are just going to have to trust me" Arabella said simply with a nod and she looked over at the food. "I can't make waffles from scratch but at least I know how to put them in the toaster.." she said with a little giggle and turned her eyes back to Hunter. There was something in his eyes that made Arabella a little bit nervous. Something off. "Are you going to tell me what's wrong or not?" She asked him gently.
Hunter was too busy staring at the food to answer immediately, but then said, "Hmm?" He looked at Arabella and saw the penetrating gaze he probably gave her sometimes when she wasn't telling him something. "Just a bad dream. It is nothing to worry about." Hunter said, running his fingers up and down her legs. "Trust me. It is not a problem. I think I just ate something weird." Hunter said with a small chuckle. He knew that it was nothing to worry about and even if it was, he wasn't going to let it effect Valentine's Day. He could tell Arabella had something planned and he was not going to interfere with that.

Arabella let out a sigh and she looked away for a moment before looking back at him and locking eyes with him. "You will tell me" She said simply then slid off of his lap so that she was sitting beside him. Arabella picked up the tray and set it on his lap. "I hope that everything is okay. I've gotten rather good at making frozen waffles but..we all make mistakes" She teased and nudged him a little with her elbow before picking up her cup of coffee and taking a sip.

Hunter cut off a piece and stabbed it. "Well, the first rule of cooking is..." He held it out to Arabella and then fed it to her. "Taste it first before serving. Which says nothing about you, but more about you not eating first." Hunter said, kissing her lightly on the lips. He cut off another piece and ate it. "This is perfect. Thank you, Beautiful." Hunter smiled and ate another piece before setting his silverware down on the tray. "If you must know about my dream...talking about me dying kind of reminded my of what it was like. I just kind of remembered waiting in the lobby. That's it. nothing bad. nothing prophetic. Just a bad memory. Now, let's just drop it and have a nice breakfast." Hunter said, taking a sip of coffee.

"It better have just been a bad memory..." Arabella said softly, biting her lip. It was a little hard to hear about him dreaming of that and the last thing that she wanted was for it to be more than just a bad memory. Arabella took a deep breath, trying to push all of the bad things away and be as positive as possible. She nervously pulled at a loose thread on her sweat pants for a minute before taking a sip of coffee. "If you thought that your dream meant anything more..you would tell me, right?"

Hunter took a deep breath and wrapped his arms around her. "I would tell you as soon as I woke up. I would make sure that if you weren't awake that I would write it down and wait until you were to tell you." Hunter said, kissing her lightly on the lips. "I promise. I have really told you all there is about my dream." He slipped an arm around her and kissed her cheek. "For once, trust me on this." He said with a laugh.

Arabella sighed and she leaned into him. "Fine..but only because you asked me so nicely" She said with a little smile and a roll of her eyes. She chewed on her lip and leaned into him a little. After a few moments, she pulled away to look at him. "Okay. No more heavy stuff. You should hurry up and eat so that you can get dressed and we can leave for my surprise"

Hunter took a deep breath and took another bite of waffle. "Well, there wouldn't be heavy stuff if you would just trust me when I say trust me." Hunter said, jabbing her in the side, causing her to squirm and squeak a little. Hunter finished his waffle and stood up, lifting her over his shoulder and starting toward the bedroom. "Tell me how I should dress." Hunter said as they reached the stairs.

"Mmmm...nothing fancy. Just..wear jeans and sweater" Arabella finally said after thinking about it for a moment and she gave his butt a little pat. She laughed and wiggled around in his arms a little bit. "You know, I am not going to tell you anything that gives away the surprise too much so you should probably just..stop the questions before you get started" She teased.
Hunter said, reaching the bedroom. He walked over to the bed and threw her down. "Well, since there might not be time later, it looks like...." Hunter walked over to his dresser and reached behind, pulling out a basket of perfumes, bath oils and other things that women would love to have. "Happy Valentines Day." Hunter said, handing it to her.

"Oh, Hunter.." Arabella breathed, looking into the basket and looking at all of the bottles. It was beautiful and it ws perfect. She looked at the label of a body butter to see what the scent was. "P.S I Love you. A mix of rose, lilies and creamy sandalwood" Arabella read off. She put down the body butter and she got off the bed, stepping over to Hunter. "You are the best guy in the whole world" She said softly and she threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly.

Hunter wrapped his arms around her and buried his face in her hair. "I know how much you like to smell good." Hunter said with a chuckle as he kissed her forehead. He swayed there gently for a moment before standing up and peeling off his shirt. "I think I'm going to take a shower before our big day." Hunter said, smelling himself then grabbing some clothes. "I'll be back. Stay perfect, okay?" Hunter said, placing a hand on her hip and pulling in for a kiss on the lips as he passed through into the bathroom.

Arabella smiled softly and she sat down on the bed, looking into the basket again. She was excited for her day with Hunter. Valentine's Day was always her favourite day and now she was going to be spending it with the love of her life, the man she was going to marry. Arabella let out a happy sigh and she pulled out a lotion, rubbing a bit over her hands. After a moment, she pushed herself off of the bed and slipped out of her clothes, walking over to her closet to find something to wear for the day.

Hunter let the water run over him and he closed his eyes, taking deep breaths. He rubbed his face and leaned up against the wall a little, letting it loosen his body up. He wanted today to be perfect for Arabella and the day didn't exactly start well. He shook the water out of his hair and slapped his face a little, waking himself up. He finally shut off the water and stepped out of the shower, drying himself off and pulling on a pair of boxers. He stepped back into the bedroom and saw that Arabella was in her underwear. "How did I get such a beautiful girl?" Hunter asked, walking up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist, looking into the mirror on the wall.

Arabella's cheeks turned pink and she leaned back into him. His warm skin felt damp against her back but she didn't mind, it was comforting. "Just lucky, I guess" She said with a little giggle. Arabella turned around in his arms and looked up at him, placing her hands on his chest. "How did I get such an amazing, brave and wonderful guy?" She said and bit her bottom lip, smiling a little.

"Hard work and determination." Hunter said with a grin as he placed his  thumb on her chin, pulling her lip out of her mouth. He danced his fingers down her sides then placed his lips on hers, kissing her tenderly. He finally pulled away after a moment and walked over to his dresser. He pulled on a pair of jeans and then a white t-shirt that he topped with the sweater Arabella had made him for Christmas. "Did I tell you how much I love this sweater?" He said, sitting down on the bed and pulling on socks.

Arabella grinned and she wiggled into a pair of skinny jeans before walking over to him. She ran her hand over his shoulder. "I'm glad that you like it" She said softly and she kissed his lips lightly before walking back to her closet and pulling on a loose shirt. Arabella slipped into a cardigan and tugged the sleeves down. She walked back over to where he was sitting and she sat down on his lap, kissing him again.

Hunter smiled and pulled her body closer, holding her close. "I love you, Ellie." Hunter breathed against her lips. He closed his eyes and kissed across her cheek to her ear where he nibbled gently. "You know your plans aren't going anywhere with you doing this to me." Hunter said, taking her hand and comparing his with it.
"Oh, I know..this is all part of my master scheme." Arabella said softly and she leaned into him, placing teasing kisses against his lips. She brushed her lips along his jaw and down to his neck. With a little giggle, she placed a kiss against the hollow of his neck then pushed herself away, standing up. Arabella grabbed her purse and her jacket then turned back to Hunter. "And I love you too"

Hunter slipped his feet into his shoes and then stood up, walking over to her and wrapping his arms around her, lifting her up and kissing her. "Alright. Lead the way, beautiful." Hunter said against her lips, finally setting her down and running his hands to her hips. "Thank you for this." Hunter said, quietly, leaving small kisses on her lips.

"Don't thank me yet. You haven't even seen it" Arabella said with a little giggle and she kissed him lightly. She pulled away from him and took his hand, leading him down the stairs. Together, they walked out of the house and Arabella led him to her car and she slid into the driver's seat. When Hunter got into the car beside her, arabella dug around in a bag beside her seat. She pulled out a blindfold and handed it to him. "It's going to ruin the surprise if you can see where we're going"

Hunter blinked a few times and looked from her to the blindfold then back at her then back at the blindfold. "I feel like this is a trap." Hunter said with a grin as he took the blindfold. He tied it over his eyes and then cleared his throat. "You know if this were any other person, I would not stand for this." Hunter leaned over and managed to find what felt like her arm and kiss it lightly. "Be lucky I love you so much."

Arabella giggled and she reached over with a hand, placing it on his leg. "It'll be worth it. I promise" She said and
she started the car, backing out of the driveway. She really hoped that he would like it. She really wanted it to be special. Arabella could feel her heart pounding and her stomach turning out of nerves as she drove down the highway. "I made a playlist of realy cheesy love songs" She told Hunter with a giggle and, trying to distract herself, she plugged her iPhone in and pressed play. Arabella giggled as Endless Love started to play and she hummed along as she turned down the dirt road that led towards her favourite place in the whole world. Arabella smiled a little bit to herself as the beach house came into view. She had so many good memories in that one spot and they all revolved around Hunter. Especially the time in the sand after he had met her father for the first time. Arabella was never going to forget that. She drove to the end of the dirt road and she parked the car. She slipped out and ran over to Hunter's side, opening the door for him so that he could get out. Arabella reached into the back seat and grabbed a basket then linked her arm with Hunter. "Almost there" She told him softly and led him over towards the beach. She stopped him just before the sand. "Okay..you can take your blindfold off" She whispered to him and looked at the work that she had done the day before. On the sand was a big tent made out of a soft material. There were twinkle lights all around the top of the tent and in the inside of it.

"And this is where you push me off a cliff or I'm about to be shot or something, right?" Hunter said with a chuckle as he hooked his thumb inside the blindfold. He pulled it off and his jaw dropped. It was beautiful and it was all theirs. "Oh...Sweetheart." Hunter said, taking a deep breath. "I want my basket back. That is garbage compared to this. Oh my gods, Ellie. You didn't have to do this." Hunter said, looking at her slightly concerned.

"I wanted to do this for you..for us" Arabella said with a little shrug and she looked up at him with a smile. She giggled a little bit and she stood up on her toes to kiss him tightly. "Besides..it's Valentine's Day. If you're going to be marrying a daughter of Aphrodite, you should get used to the fact that we don't hold back on Valentine's Day" She said and she kissed him again. Arabella smiled at him before stepping away from him, fixing the basket on her arm and walking towards the tent. "Do you remember what this spot is?" She asked him, turning to him and giving him a meaningful look as she stood next to the tent.

Hunter stepped forward and moved behind her, wrapping his arms around her. He looked back toward the water a moment and then the whole night came rushing back to him.  He gingerly took the basket from her and set it down on the ground. Without speaking he picked her up and moved just next to the tent before setting her down in the sand, pressing his lips to hers. "I remember it, everyday." Hunter said with a grin.

Arabella smiled softly and she ran her fingers down his cheeks gently. "Good" She said and she kissed him tightly. She ran her fingers through his hair. Arabella pulled away from him a little and she stood up, grabbing the basket. "I think that we might be a bit more comfortable in here" She said and gavve him a little wink before slipping into the tent. On the ground, there was more fabric, covering the sand. There was a small wooden table with two chairs and off to the side, there was a futon mattress on the ground with a thick duvet and a ton of pillows. Tucked into the corner was a space heater, keeping the place warm. "You know how I said that Danny
and I went shopping yesterday? I wasn't totally honest with you. We came out here to do this"

Hunter was speechless. This was all so romantic and it made Hunter smile to know that she did it for him. He opened his mouth several times to speak, but nothing came out. No words could describe how grateful he was. "I hope you know that next Valentines has to top this now." Hunter said with a smile as he walked over to her and kissed her, pouring in all of the love and affection and thanks that he had. "This is beautiful, Ellie. Thank you so much."

Arabella giggled against his lips and she placed the basket on the ground. She slipped her arms around his neck and she pulled herself closer to him, kissing him tightly. Arabella leaned into him and she brushed her lips along his jaw. "I love you, Hunter" she told him and she pulled away to look into his eyes. "I'm just really glad that you like all of this.." She said, waving around the tent.

Hunter smiled and ran his hnads down her sides.. He looked around the tent and laughed. "How could I not like this? Everything is perfect." He said with a laugh as he pulled her closer and kissed her forehead. He looked into her eyes and smiled a smile that seemed ubreakable. And he was really okay with that. "Now, I have a few questions though. First of all, what do you have planned with the mattress?" He asked, raising his eyebrow. She giggled and bit her lip a little before smiling deviously and wiggling her eyebrows "Second, You should have told me to bring my swimsuit. I don't care that the water is freezing. And third, what is in the basket?"

"You must be completely mental if you actually want to swim in the ocean in the winter" Arabella said with a giggle. "Unless you got Poseidon to do you a favor and he heated up the water at out beach" She teased and nudged him a little. Arabella bent down and picked up the basket, placing it on the table. "And this..is my basket of tricks" Arabella winked at him before opening a side of the basket and looking inside, keeping most of it hidden from Hunter's view. "I have lots of food for us and a few other things that we might need while we're here" She explained to him and closed the lid.

Hunter took a deep breath and reached over, hooking his fingers inside the neck of her sweatshirt. He pulled her close to him and kissed her on the lips. Hunter leaned into her and pulled her body closer, loving everything about where he was right now. "You did way too much then you had to, baby." Hunter said, placing his hands gently on her hips and pulling her closer. "I will make all this up to you on some day, sweetheart. I promise."

"Mmm..nope. No need to make it up to me." Arabella said and she placed her hands on his chest, giving him a loving smile. "Well..you can make it up to me by marrying me. Oh, wait, you're already doing that" She giggled and she leaned up, moving closer to him and kissing him tightly. Arabella ran her fingers down his chest, stopping them on his stomach and she brushed her lips against his in a teasing kiss.
Hunter smiled and kissed her chin. "Unless making out..." He kissed under her nose and then the side of her mouth. "is the first thing on the agenda..." He kissed the other side of her mouth, evading her lips. "We should move on before we get carried away." Hunter laughed against her skin and then kissed her lips, placing his hands lightly on her cheeks.

Arabella laughed a little bit and she grinned up at him. She kissed him then nodded. "Yeah, you're probably right" She agreed and she pulled away, sitting down on one of the chairs. "I have a deck of cards in here. Or I have board games. Or I have food" She said and nodded towards the basket. "I don't really have a day planned for us. I just thought that it would be nice to spend some time in a warm tent at the best beach house in the whole world"

Hunter smiled and sat down next to her. "Well, I know zero card games and I'm not hungry after the beautiful breakfast you made me this morning." Hunter sighed a little. "You're going to have to teach me everything, anyway, so...You pick. I refuse to pick." He said, leaning his head on her shoulder.
"Hmmm...we could always just..wing it" Arabella said with a little giggle and she rested her head on his. She laced her fingers through his and she looked down at their hands, a content and comfortable smile on her face. Arabella could have stayed like that forever. She felt warm and beautiful. "Do you want to walk around the beach a little bit?" She asked him softly.

"That is always an option." Hunter said with a smile. He looked around the tent a moment and stood up. "I still can't believe you did all this." Hunter said with a laugh as he took her hand and pulled her up to her feet and into his arms. "Alright. Let's go." Hunter said, kissing her lightly on the head. He took her hand and led her out of the tent and toward the water a little. "So, what's done in preparation for the wedding?" He asked, smiling at her.
Arabella huffed and she shrugged a little bit, leaning into him. "Not enough. I mean...I have my dress. We picked out the colors. We got the invites done up. I think that I might have found the flowers but I need your opinion.." she said and looked up at him with big eyes. "This whole...wedding planning thing is so much more stressful than it should be"

Hunter smiled and slipped an arm around her waist. He kissed her lightly on the temple and just walked down the beach a little bit, not talking. It felt good to just walk and Hunter was thinking about the wedding. Hunter only cared about the end result. The actual ceremony was less important to him, knowing that it was Arabella that he would be standing at the altar with. He needed it to be perfect for her. "Tell me about everything. Tell me about your perfect wedding. Assuming everything were perfect. Everything was done and we were there at the altar. What is it like? Tell me everything. Colors. Flowers. Guests. Setting. Everything."

Arabella smiled a little bit and she closed her eyes, thinking about it for a moment. "I guess I always pictured my wedding to be really..whimsical and like a fairytale. Really soft colours. Orchids, of course. Not too many guests, just a small group of people that really mean a lot to me. It would happen on a sand bar and the reception would be the best party ever" She said softly and shrugged a little bit. "It would be romantic and special"

Hunter stopped on the beach and sat down in the sand, pulling Arabella in front of him and rubbing her shoulders. She attempted to protest, but Hunter stopped her. "Well, what of that do we have? We don't have really soft colors." He moved his hands down her back and sighed. "We don't have a sandbar and on top of that I hate how badly this is stressing you out." Hunter leaned forward and put his chin on her shoulder. "Let me do it. I'll still let you have plenty of input, but I'll be sure to organize and make arrangements."

"Have you forgotten that I am a neurotic control freak?" Arabella said with a little giggle. She let herself lean back into him and she closed her eyes, listening to the waves in the ocean and Hunter's steady breathing behind her. "It's going to take a lot for me to give up control but..I guess that I might be able to do that. Maybe" She finally said to him and a small smile spread across her lips.

Hunter smiled and spread his legs, pulling her back and wrapping his arms around her middle. "Ellie, I just want everything to be perfect and part of that will be you getting to relax while I do everything." Hunter kissed her lightly on the neck and felt her lean back into him. "You can trust me. It'll be perfect." Hunter stood up and helped her up, helping her up to her feet. "Alright. I think after that walk, I'm hungry. Let's eat"

Arabella nodded and she brushed sand off of the back of her legs. She kissed his cheek gently, wrapping her
arms around his middle. She leaned into him, taking in everything about the way the felt and the smell that hung in the air around him. She brushed her lips down to his jaw and placed a small kiss then pulled away, giving him a devious smile. "Race you!" She said quickly and she ran off towards the tent, laughing the whole way.

Hunter smiled and took off after her. He ran and let the cold air whip his hair around as he got closer to her. He finally caught her and wrapped his arms around her, swinging her around and lifting her up. He stopped and held her up, tickling her sides. She giggled and squirmed around. She turned around in his arms and kissed him tightly on the lips, pulling his face toward hers.

Arabella giggled against his lips and she ran her fingers down his cheeks, her skin hardly touching his. Arabella placed her hands on his shoulders and she leaned into him, kissing him lightly. "I so could have beat you. I was just going super slow to make you feel better" She teased him and she let her hands drop, her fingers grazing against his chest.

Hunter smiled and adjusted her in his arms so he was carrying her. "Of course, you could have." Hunter said with a grin as she put her arms around his neck and held herself closer to him, placing kisses on his neck. Hunter walked into the tent and set her down on the mattress. "Wow...This is pretty comfortable." Hunter said as he laid down next to her.

"Of course it is..I had to get the best" Arabella said with a little girrl and rolled over onto her side so that she was facing Hunter. She gave him a small smile and she placed her hand on his cheek for a moment before letting her hand drop onto the mattress. "So..did you say that you were hungry?" She asked with a little giggle and she went to sit up.

Hunter grinned and grabbed her by the wrist, pulling her back toward him. "Maybe it was just an excuse to get you back to the tent." Hunter said with a grin as he wrapped his arms around her, kissing her gently on the cheek. Hunter stood and helped her up, bring her hand up to his lips and kissing it gently. He walked over to the table and sat down, pulling her down onto his lap. "Is it okay if I have you in my arms forever?" He asked with a grin as he wrapped his arms around her and placed a kiss on her shoulder.

"I would like that very much" Arabella said in soft voice, almost a whisper. She leaned into him and closed her eyes. It felt so wonderful to sit with him and to feel his arms around her. Arabella felt safe when she was with him and knew that marrying him was going to the best thing in her life. She had never felt so strongly about someone before. Arabella placed a kiss against his forhead before she kissed his lips, lightly leaning into him more.

Hunter placed his hand on her thigh and pulled her closer. "I love you, Ellie. I always will." Hunter said, pulling away slightly. He placed his hand on her cheek and kissed her again before running his thumb across her lips. "I promise." He felt her curl up on his lap and lean into him. Hunter closed his eyes and simply soaked in everything about her. Her smell, her warmth, the softness of her skin, the feeling of her body against his, the sound of her breathing, everything.

"I am holding you to that promise" Arabella said softly and she placed a gentle kiss against his cheek. After a moment, she reached a hand over, trying not to move out of Hunter's arms too much and grabbed the basket. She slid it closer to them and flipped the lid open. "I brought that sparkling apple cider" She told him in a soft voice and she grabbed the bottle, taking it out of the basket with two glasses.

"Beautiful." Hunter said, holding the two glasses as she opened it and started to pour the two glasses. "And the cider's good too." Hunter said with a small laugh and placed a kiss against her temple. He took the bottle from her and handed her a glass. She was about to drink when Hunter stopped her. "Wait....." Hunter said a moment, taking her arm and twisting it with his, crossing there arms, holding their drinks. "This is a thing, right?" He said, raising an eyebrow.

Arabella giggled and she nodded. Trying not to burst out into giggles, Arabella raised her arm with Hunter and slowly took a sip of her cider. She laughed, putting down her drink and uncrossing her arm from Hunter's. Arabella palced her hands on either side of his neck and she leaned into him, kissing him tightly. "Mmm...happy Valentine's Day, Hunter" She said softly and pulled back a little bit to look into his eyes.

Hunter leaned forward and placed a kiss on her chin. "Happy Valentine's Day, Ellie." He said, giving her a loving squeeze. Hunter took a sip of cider and then went to grab the basket when she snatched it away. He tilted his head a little. "This is kind of scary." Hunter said with a laugh as he took another sip of cider. "Well, then. Since I apparently cannot be trusted with the secret of the basket...What kind of food is in there because I am really curious if you cooked." Hunter said with a laugh as he wrapped his hands around her waist, placing his head on her shoulder.

Arabella looked into the basket, keeping it from Hunter's view. "I might have tried to cook..something" She said and chewed on her lip before nervously pulling out a large Thermos. "Danny helped me make red pepper soup yesterday. I don't know how it's going to turn out but just in case.." She said and reached into the basket, pulling out a small pizza and a pack of sushi and her Greek salad.

Hunter grinned and quickly took the Greek salad from her. "Well, I'll be having this. You can have the rest." He said with a laugh as he opened the lid and smelled it. "Ugh...Ellie, you know, I didn't ask for someone perfect, but I'm really glad I got someone perfect." Hunter hooked an arm around her and pulled her in for a kiss on the lips. He set it down on the table and then took the soup, opening the lid. He smelled it and poured a little into the lid. He poured it into his mouth and then immediately made a face. Arabella got a discouraged look on her face and Hunter quickly swallowed, wrapping his arms around her to stop her from leaving his lap. "No, it's just still a little hot." Hunter turned her head and kissed her tightly on the lips, trying to sooth his burning mouth. "It tasted wonderful though."

"Thanks" She said softly and Arabella looked at him with a small, nervous smile on her face. She had worked really hard to get all of the food right and she really just wanted it to be good for Hunter. Arabella took the lid from him and she poured a little bit of the soup in it and she blew on it. Once it was cooled down, she took a little sip of it and thought about it for a moment. "That's not...totally horrible" She said and a small smile spread across her face. Arabella put down the lid and grabbed her pack of sushi, opening it and popping a spicy California roll into her mouth.

Hunter grabbed a fork and stabbed some of the salad, making sure to get a little bit of everything. He ate it and let out a happy little moan as he stabbed more of it onto his fork. "I feel like I need to do something." Hunter said, feeding her the salad off the fork. "You made the food. Set up the tent. Did everything. I did nothing. I am going to figure out a way to do something, so I don't feel completely useless today." He set down the salad and then grabbed a mug from the table. He poured some soup in and then started drinking it like coffee.  I felt so good in that moment. He put his feet up on a chair and then turned Arabella, so that she could lay back against Hunter's torso.

Arabella smiled and she laid back against him, closing her eyes for a moment. She sat with him in a comfortable silence for a moment before she took his mug from him and took a sip of the soup. Giggling a little, she passed it back to him and let out a happy sigh. She placed her hands on his legs and she closed her eyes again. "You don't have to do anything today, Hunter. Just..having you here is more than enough for me" She said softly.

Hunter sighed and wrapped his arms around her waist. He pulled her up a little so her head was beside his and he placed kisses on her shoulder and her neck. "Well, I am happy to oblige." Hunter said with a smile as he held her closer. He grabbed the mug and took a sip of the soup. He reached over and grabbed a California roll, breaking it in half and eating it. "I can't imagine spending Valentine's Day doing anything else." Hunter said, offering her the other half.

Arabella nodded in agreement. "Best Valentine's Day ever" She said softly and she took the other half of the roll from him, popping it into her mouth. Arabella let out a little yawn and she traced a heart on his leg with her fingers. "I love the sound of the ocean..it reminds me of being back at camp" She said in a quiet voice, listening to the sound of the waves.

Hunter ran his arms across her stomach and placed a hand there. He ran his other hand down her leg and gently danced his fingers along the side of her thigh. He closed his eyes and buried his face in her hair placing small kisses around her ear. "I like it, too." Hunter said quietly, running his hands up and down her legs. "I think if we don't do something I could fall asleep here and you would be allowed to do whatever you wanted." He said with a smile as he let his hands rest on her hips and leaned back in the chair.

"Whatever I wanted, hmm?" Arabella said in a teasing voice and she stood up for a moment so that she could turn around and sit back down on his lap, facing him. She straddled him and leaned into him a little, placing little kisses along his collar bone. "I like the idea of doing whatever I want" She added in a whisper against his skin inbetween kisses.

Hunter smiled a little as he placed his hands on her thighs. "Well, go right ahead. Here is my contribution." Hunter said as he ran his hands up and down her legs. "I was thinking..." Hunter said quietly, leaning back, his eyes closed. "There were some bath oils in that basket." Hunter said with a smile as he tilted his head and nibbled on her ear. "Maybe later,we could use them." Hunter said before placing a kiss on her ear. "Together, maybe."

Arabella giggled a little bit and she nodded softly. "That sounds like such an amazing plan" She said softly and she placed her hands on his arms, running her hands down his biceps slowly. "It would be such a waste to use them by myself" She added and she wiggled closer to him. Arabella turned her face towards him and she kissed him tightly, leaning into the kiss with passion.

Hunter grinned and wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to him. "I think if we did it when we got home, it would just be extra special." Hunter said, pressing his lips to hers again and putting a hand on the back of her head. She leaned into him more, pushing Hunter back into the chair. He leaned back and held her close and he was so wrapped up in the feeling of her body close to his and her lips against his that he didn't notice the chair falling backward.

Arabella let out a squeak when the chair fell backwards and she went tumbling down to the ground with Hunter. She wrapped her arms around him, holding onto him tightly. As soon as everything sort of stopped moving and the only sound was Hunter's breathing and the waves, Arabella nervously looked at Hunter. She had falled right ontop of him, so her fall wasn't too painful but Hunter had fallen right on the ground. "Are you okay?" She squeaked.

Hunter groaned a little and wiggled a little as he kicked the chair under the table and out from under him. With a small groan he sat up and rubbed his back, holding Arabella tightly in his arms. "Just great." Hunter said with a little chuckle as he let go of her and leaned his head against her chest, rubbing his back. "That would happen to us, wouldn't it?" He laughed and placed a small kiss in the hollow of her neck.

Arabella let out a huff and she nodded softly. She ran her hands down his arms and chewed on her lip. "Are you sure that you're okay? I don't want you to be hurt or anything.." She said softly and she closed her eyes, letting him lean against her chest. Arabella was worried about Hunter. She was always going to be worried about Hunter. Sure, she knew that he could handle himself and that he's been through a lot worse than falling off of a chair but Arabella was still going to worry about him. She wanted him to be safe. "Is there anything that I can get you? Or anything that I can do for you?"

"Ellie, you have done more than enough." Hunter said with a smile, placing a hand on her cheek. He helped her to stand and then stood himself, steadying himself on the table. "Seriously, thank you." Hunter said, placing a kiss on her forehead. "You said something about card-slash-board games. Is that still on the table or would you rather do something a little more...active?" He said, putting a hand gently on her hip.

"I can think of a few very active things that would be much more fun than card-slash-board games" Arabella said softly and she pulled away from him. She ran her fingers across his chest as she stepped towards the mattress. Arabella brushed her fingers down his arm and grabbed his wrist, tugging him towards her. Giggling, Arabella pulled him in and she kissed him tightly.

Hunter kissed her back, stepping toward her and pulling her in, placing his hands on her hips. "Well, I think maybe an example is in order, Ms. Foster." Hunter said with a wink as he ran his hands down to her butt. "I'm pretty sure I'm up for it. Whatever it is, I'm up for it." Hunter said, giving her butt a little squeeze as he kissed down her neck to her shoulder. "How could I resist such a beautiful girl?"

Arabella giggled and she blushed a little. She leaned into him, kissing him tightly and she ran her fingers down his chest. After a moment, she pulled away and pushed the blankets back on the bed before laying down on her back and looking up at Hunter. Arabella gave him a wink and waggled her finger at him in a 'come hither' motion.

Hunter grinned and knelt at her feet. He placed a small kiss on her foot and then placed kisses up along her leg and then to her hand and up her arm, finally to her shoulder where he crawled on top of her and placed his lips on hers. He felt her respond: Hooking her leg around him, leaning into him, pulling him down closer to her. Hunter pulled away a moment and looked into her eyes and he knew that's where he should be. That's where he wanted to be and that's all he could hope for. "Ellie, I love you."

"I love you too, Hunter" Arabella said softly and she slipped her arms around him, resting her hands on his back. She smiled up at him with a little smile before burying her face into his neck and taking a deep breath, inhaling his smell and everything about him. "I love you like a fat kid loves cake" She said into his skin and she let out a little giggle.
